home. Recent head injury and early dementia. RCMP had made contact via cell; she was staying put but was
unsure of her location. Cell ping gave general location within 800m of home.
Two members close to the location able to deploy up logging road, made cell contact with subject. RCMP
also searching in area located subject and brought her out OK.

14:18 paged by Ecomm for ECC for BCAS. ATV rollover near Mt Drew, W of Narrows Inlet. One subject
with broken leg (reported as compound fracture but was simple); one with broken hand.
Party had 3 ATV, 1 rolled (slid down snow), 2 went out to Tzoonie Camp (30 min) for help, two members of
party stayed with injured.
Got ASE from ECC, arranged for Bell 212; reported LZ was good for that and it would carry enough
members and gear.
Air Ambulance sent Sikorsky to site but they could not find an adequate LZ so returned to Vancouver. They
did land briefly at Tzoonie Camp which is relatively close and said they could return if injuries warranted and
helicopter available.
212 could not land close to subjects but could drop team and gear on ridge top above, a bit steep and
rugged to get down to subjects.
Requested 2nd ASE for Bell 206 which could land beside subjects. OKed by RM, Bell 212 released back to
MoF.
Subject with broken leg also had asthma, but no meds with him. Used O2.
Brought both subjects out to Sechelt Airport and transferred to BCAS ambulance at 17:50. Two ferry trips
with 206 to bring out team members and gear.
Ensured rest of ATV party had all joined up before departing, not dressed or equipped for being at snow line
or far in back country.
Stood down at 20:30

14:49 paged by Ecomm to assist Sechelt Fire with location and extraction of injured dirt biker on Mt.
Richardson FSR.
Subject located by Fire, SAR took BCAS paramedics and gear, and RCMP to subject with UTV.
BCAS assessment determined possible broken hip or femur. Slow and very bumpy extraction by road not
reasonable. SAR contacted ECC for HETS extraction. Arranged with NSR.
Personal SAR member vehicle used to ferry additional medical gear from ambulance to BCAS attending
subject. Vehicle sustained damaged tire/rim on return.
Subject extracted via HETS to second ambulance at pavement.
All personnel and gear out safely but slowly.

Ops 2/3/4 July 14/15/16 clean, store gear; Discover major damage to UTV frame; assess and plan repairs
to UTV.
Subject had broken hip and received hip replacement.

04:53 paged by Ecomm to assist RCMP searching for missing 16 YO M in Ruby Lake area. Subject
intoxicated when last seen. RCMP had been searching for "some time".
05:05 paged by Ecomm, subject found, he approached RCMP, had been sleeping in vehicle nearby.
05:10 stand down issued to all.

16:09 paged by Ecomm to assist RCMP searching for missing child who dove into water but was not seen
to surface or come out. Location YMCA camp on YMCA Road, Langdale. EHS, Air Ambulance, Fire also
attending.
16:20 informed that mustering of all children and recounting determined no one was missing.
16:30 stand down issued to all.

15:15 paged to call ECC for BCAS assist. 75 yo F, dizzy, lost on Langdale Falls Trails.
RCMP found vehicle; Constable located subject;
Constable on site unable to extract subject due steepness of terrain.
SAR teams attended and assisted subject up steep slope with handlines. Assessment by SAR members
determined she had mild hypothermia; treated with warming vest. Also reported several medical conditions
including heart condition, type 2 diabetes, asthma, and COPD, and had not eaten since 9am. Nonetheless,
she was in good physical condition and walked out on her own. Evaluated by BCAS at trail head and
released.

00:36 paged by RCMP to search for driver possibly thrown from vehicle in MVI. Vehicle totally destroyed.
Others from vehicle had said driver was missing. The 4 of them were ambulatory and had been taken to
hospital. Fire had used FLIR along highway with no results but difficult to check well due to terrain and bush.
RCMP suspected driver was really one of the 4 taken to hospital but could not rule out driver being thrown
due to damage to vehicle (e.g. engine thrown from vehicle).
Team deployed on initial search of hillside while Command Vehicle with FLIR units enroute.
01:40 RCMP confirms one of the 4 at hospital was the driver. Search stood down.

Mutual Aid to Lions Bay SAR for evidence search of north slope of Mt Harvey on 2017-06-24.
Original task was recovery of deceased snowshoers killed in cornice collaps on Mt Harvey 2017-04-08

Gear prep on 2017-06-23 to ensure Martin's technical requirements covered and safety gear all good.

Two members attended on 2017-06-24, flown in to Mt Harvey by helicopter from Lions Bay, one member
monitoring radio and InReach units from Sunshine Coast during the day.

Effective search, much "stuff" found from subjects including cell phones.
Two members back home and stood down at 20:45.

18:06 paged by RCMP to assist in search for missing schizophrenic person missing from care unit.
Subject located. RCMP returned to facility

05:46 paged to assist BCAS with transport of subject from home to dock on Gambier Island. Subject reporting short of breath.Two ambulance crews on the way. SAR to meet third crew at Gibsons Govt dock with gear to go by water taxi.
